I have heard of friends and peer group sarcastically sharing the joke of them annulling the marathon calls, chatting, chit chats, outings, shopping, and romantic moments, that they used to have before with their life partner, once the wedding is formally officiated. They say the campaign is won (wedding is over) and no more wooing is required.
During election campaigns the political parties come up with lofty promises to woo the electorate, but after winning the election, that is the end of it. But marriage is not like a political campaign, which could be annulled after winning it. There is an everyday wooing required for the successful culmination of each day of the married life lived.
