What makes human beings
different from animals is their intellect and rationale to discern what is good
and evil. Marital relationship, which joins two persons from two different
backgrounds, is a sphere where this rationale is challenged by strong emotions
which would sometimes run rampant.
The alarming number of
infant deaths being reported in Kerala gives a shocking picture that it is
purely carnal desires causing the brutal killing of innocent babies. The child
from the previous legal relationship ends up being killed when it is seen as a
nuisance for its father/mother to have wanton relationship with their lover.
It is foolishness for the
young mother/father who elopes with their lover along with their young babies
to think that their lover will take better care of them and their baby than
their spouse. Both of them have the same fraudulent background of cheating
their life partner in search of new 'pleasures'. So they will be only concerned
about how to gratify this need for 'pleasure' and anything that comes in their
way is seen as a hindrance and will be cleared off.
What more 'pleasure' he or
she is going to experience from the illicit relationship than what is already
'experienced'. What a sad state of affair for a mother or father to butcher their
own child for fleeting pleasure - orgasm from their lover.
Where have the morality and
ethics gone. There is life beyond lust or orgasm, which is momentary. The
sexual energy is said to be the most dominant energy in human beings, it is the
gift of nature for procreation, and is not meant to have illicit relationships,
to commit crimes and to create broken families in a developed society.
