The more a girl is pampered, the more her husband is likely to be adored by her parents

In a society that is developed culturally, educationally and financially, girl children have been considered something delicate against their male counterpart, and always should have that protective layer to keep them safe and sound against all the evils of the society.

According to Manusmriti, dealing with ‘Dharma’, a collective name for human purpose, their duties and the law and in its verse 9.3 says पिता रक्षति कौमारे भर्ता रक्षति यौवने ............ (The father guards her during virginity; the husband guards her in youth.......). So in a race to find a fitting life partner for his daughter, all the fact and background check is done especially by her father. The father who guarded her during virginity will always be keen in choosing a man who can take the baton from him and protect his daughter in her youth and continue to do so in the old age.

In the wake of alarming numbers of reported domestic violence and in-law harassments, there could always be a fear in the mind of a girl's parents when she has to be sent away in marriage. Therefore, there needs to be that extra shield of care which would safeguard her from all potential dangers.

It is said that when a boy ties the knot to a girl, he and she will have two sets of parents; biological as well as in-laws. In modern society the gap between the duo father-in-law and mother-in-law Vs son-in-law has significantly reduced, as though there would hardly be any separation at all. In course of time, son-in-law also becomes a natural member of the family.

Lucky are those who get married to a girl, who have been the apple of her parents' eyes. The more a girl is pampered, the more her husband is likely to be adored by her parents. Their love for the daughter will automatically outflow to her husband as well.
