Red streets and prostitution centers should be legalized

The argument of red streets should be legalized would sound utter outrageous but in the wake of all the unprecedented atrocities against women in our state, I vehemently feel that red streets and prostitution centers should be legalized in Kerala for the people who are sexually lunatics. Thus, they can release their frustrations in the provided outlets and it would allow our own mothers, sisters and near and dear ones not being victimized for the sexual fantasies of those inhuman people.

Dear Sachin, it is not fair

It was not at all fair dear Sachin that you called it a day all on a sudden succumbed to the comments and criticisms on your recent performance. With your departure from one-day international, the essence of the game is lost and we have stopped watching the matches. It has been 23 years of your splendid performances and virtually writing all the records in your own name.

Rapist should not be hung unto death but castrated

In the wake of all these unprecedented atrocities against women, vehemently I feel that we need to have strong laws in place to stop the sexual violence against women. Though we have a well established judiciary system and all the wonderful laws to prevent from the crimes getting committed, the laws just remain in the judiciary papers without getting them really enforced. Our laws lack teeth and nails to chock the crimes and that is the very reason often the crimes getting committed repeatedly.

The Tale of ‘Twin’ Hunt (Part III)

I never thought that The Tale of ‘Twin’ Hunt would have a Part III and this tale has a part III is solely because of my 3D friend’s interest and unending endurance, however, I had a last recourse of getting the help of the newspaper agent. But after the part II of the ‘Twin’ hunt, I virtually gave up my hope and stopped working on it because I knew it was not going to work.

Lesser evil is always permissible

Scholastic schools of ethics and morality always give us consent to go for lesser evil when we have to choose between the two evils. When we are forced to choose between the supposedly two evils the lesser evil is always permissible in order to justify greater evil that we would be forced to commit otherwise.

Justifying lesser evil with greater

“A few were shot dead, a few were stabbed to death and the remaining few were beaten to death,” this is not a famous dialogue from any of the movies in stead it was a well-known dialogue from the controversial Manakadu speech of M. M. Mani, CPI (M) Idukki district secretary. On May 25, 2012, there was a meeting held at Mankadu, in Thodupuzha town and the district president was expounding his party’s stand on the political murder of T. P. Chandrashekaran, the president of revolutionary Marxist Part.

Eyes that find only mistakes

I feel that basically our psyche is tuned to find the mistakes of others and not to appreciate the goodness in them. The most easy and the thing that everyone does in his or her life is finding fault with others and when it comes to finding fault with others, all of us are proficient in it.

The Tale of ‘Twin’ Hunt (Part II)

Although, I had put an end for my official chase for this particular pair of twin-girls; exactly after 2 months of September 04 episode, on November 05th morning I happened to see them walking towards Kadavanthara bus stop as I was getting down at the same stop.  I saw them for the consecutive days as well and I was feeling that a few things and people you can’t get rid of even if we decide to leave them behind they would pope up.

Scientific inventions keep us less spiritual

We can observe a drastic decline as far as the spirituality of present generation is concerned. Our forefathers had a blind faith in God and religious practices but as we have improved facilities and luxury God is not an indispensable choice in our life because we feel that with the help of scientific inventions and technologies we can solve almost all our problems and we wholly depend on ‘Technology Gods.’

Gadgets are our best friends

Albert Einstein had anticipated it accurate, “I fear the day when the technology overlaps with our humanity. The world will only have a generation of idiots" His prediction is being proved accurate, already technology has predominant effect on we human beings and we are increasingly getting addicted to technologies and the facilities and luxury they can offer us.

The best remains unknown

When it comes to have any kind of alliances whether it be friendship, business or marriage, supposedly the most important thing that we are looking for is the refined character of our partner but the absurdity is that the character is seldom known to us and civilized character is all the more important in the institution of marriage because marriage is a life long commitment between two parties and refined character play a vital role in the success of married life.

Brave men commit suicide not coward

The society has reinforced in the mind of the people that it is coward who runs away from life realities and as a matter of dodging commits suicide but what I strongly feel is that it is daring people who do commit suicide and coward does not. People who are committing self immolation are in hysteria and that put them in a transient situation which forces them to annul their life. However, the general notion is that “it is coward who commits suicide not the brave” but I prefer to take a walk which is other way around.

Everyone is normally abnormal

Well, all of us think that we are abnormally normal and we are perfect human beings when it comes to our psyche composition. But the truth is that everyone is abnormal in his or her own ways or on the other hand our particular abnormality does not require any kind of clinical treatment.

There is no ‘The Language’

All linguistics think that their language is the refined, well polished and ‘The Language’ whereas there is nothing called ‘The Language.’ Everyone’s language is culturally and politically polished so each one’s language differs. The language we speak has been polished and shaped by the culture and political scenario of the land where we have been living.

Women themselves are their biggest enemies

It has been always a matter of great debate among men and women that who are the so called enemies of women. The entire women flock will point out their fingers towards men. But I would say, to a large extent women themselves are their biggest enemies. If we can closely observe all those chaos, violence, rape cases and attempts, stories of molestation, sex racketing, female trafficking, bad treatments, which are happening against women, the major chuck of them are sponsored, caused and invited by women themselves.

chase YOUR PASSION

The mantra for our life shall no longer be chasing our dreams but chasing our passion. Many a time our dreams remain unrealistic thus it is not constantly possible for us to chase down our dreams, therefore, we need to chase our passion and if we are passionate for something we will definitely be able to achieve what we are passionate for. Our dreams may not always be the reflection of our capabilities and potentials, we always dream what is beyond our reach so our dreams remain unfulfilled. Also we all are superstitious to believe that the dreams that we see in the wee hours would come true and seldom have they come true.

How sociable are the people logged into the social networking sites?

This is a question often I ask myself that how sociable are the people logged into the social networking sites? Our life is confined into the virtual world and most of our time is spend in the virtual world. It is considered that if we don’t have an account in any of the social networking sites we don’t exist at all because cyber space is said to be the most happening place than the real world that is out there in front of us and we are so fascinated with the virtual world and the sort of publicity it can offer us.

The Tale of ‘Twin’ Hunt (Part I)

Having born as identical twin boys, we have been always spellbound to read the news appearing in the newspapers that twin boys marrying twin girls. As far as identical twins are concerned, what would be always ideal is twins marrying twin girls. However, the twin marrying twin girls is very odd to happen because of the complexity and dearth of the pairs; also the social, economical, religious and family backgrounds have to fall in line with. I have been always in the lookout for twin girls and eventually my eyes got stuck with one pair of twin girls.

There is no greater love than parting one’s own ‘liver’ for the other

Thodupuzha (Cheppukulam), August 20, 2012: There is no greater love than giving one’s own life for the other and Rainy Joy literally abided by the gospel parting her liver with Swathy Krishna, her niece. In a specially organized felicitation meeting by the local civic of Cheppukulam, the epitome of compassion, center of attraction, was garlanded with praises and honors.

Technologically naked

Gone are the days of having any kind of privacy, as the technology made its advancements in all walks of life, it started to peep into our private life and we are left with little seclusion. To put it categorically, we can say that we are technologically naked. Each and every time we are being viewed, watched, observed and examined by the people in and around us with the help of different visual-technological equipment.

The real and the fake ‘I’

We all are big time actors in our life journey; we act as gentle and sober in order to sooth the hearts of others. We continuously suppress the real ‘I’ that is malicious, cunning, crooked, perverted and vice and pretend to be tender, loving, caring, righteous, moral and ethical in our expression and conduct.

Challenge him not… provoke him not…

Basically everyone is good. Normally people end up doing something wrong or become anti-social when they are challenged and provoked. When someone is irritated, tarnished, subjugated to the core and pushed to the peripheries they would definitely bounce back and the fury of their anger might cause all possible damages which would remain incurable for a long period of time for both the parties.

Problem does not really exist

Most of our problems we think that we have don’t exist really and they exist only in our thought level. Most of our problems are not really out there as realities but they remain in our imagination and thought process rather they are the end results of our imagination and pondering over. The problem what I mean here is not any tangible problems like physical aliments, unemployment, financial insecurity but the problems that we cook up in our thoughts and imagination.

Most of our problems are not tangible but they are very much intangible in nature. We consider and place these intangible problems something as tangible in front of us thus we become nervous, tensed, too much preoccupied and even get carried away with them.

Virtual Existence

The advent of technologies especially internet have challenged the very human relationships, the depth and warmth of a true relationship are lost. Everything is governed by technology and we are engulfed by technologies thus our very existence is challenged and we no longer  exist in the real world, rather we live in technology to be precise we live in a virtual world.

In this regard if the age-old story of scholar and boatman were to be retold to the younger generation, to reach the message home we need to fine-tune the story to the current era and perhaps it should be retold in the following format;

Reservation law is outdated

Let every one earn his or her daily bread through his or her own hard work than not by any easy ways outs and shortcuts. Dr. Ambedkar been the Drafting Committee Chairman of the Indian constitution and he himself being a Dalits had give undue importance and highlight of the dalits, scheduled caste and tribe to uplift their plight.

If I were as tiny as an ant

How wonderful it would have been to live as an ant, one of the smallest creatures, in this big world. Life of an ant is not always noticed by human beings yet happening. Though it is a miniature creature perhaps it would be the only creature which can carry an amount of weight which is double than its body weight. This small creature can truly upset the biggest creature on this planet, elephant.

Why politicians won’t retire?

Perhaps for all other profession and service sector have a retirement period but absurdly not for politicians. Even Priests who are in service sector do retire at the age of 75 but not politicians. Politicians who have tasted what the real power is, the comforts and popularity that politics can offer, never want to retire. They wish to die as a great leader, like prime minister or chief minister or ministers only then their death will get immense publicity and can receive all state honors for their funeral.

Religion to impose morality

Ultimately, the purpose of any religion is to impose morality in the society. In a value decline society, who else would have taken up the responsibility of imposing morality among people? To this end all the religion works for.

What we need is more waste plants not airports

Kerala has been better known as God’s own country because of its biodiversity and geographic fabric and now the state is loosing its sheen due to its improper waste management system that it has. So now the state is being known as a stinging place and no more it is God’s own country. As far as the state is concerned, the pressing need of the state is not setting up new airports at Aranmula and Kannur but proper waste plants to dump the waste and keep Kerala a clean state.

Why such a deep Clergy-Laity division in the church??

God did not create a separate flock of clergy men and did not make them immediate decedents of God. It is from the so called lay men the clergy group is formed. No one is born as a clergy man, he is born as an ordinary man, his studies and special way of life has put him an elevated position as clergy and it is needless to hype that clergy men are superior and lay men are inferior. As clergymen are automatically in the ruling side they themselves make a distinction like clergy and lay people. It is just to strengthen their monopoly in the church.

Being a Good Samaritan is the greatest spirituality

Our notion of spirituality involves in going to church everyday, visiting the pilgrim centers, chanting the prayers, making our personal prayers, giving zakat to church but the greatest spirituality is nothing but being a Good Samaritan.

For us what spirituality is, observing the rules and regulation that the religion teaches us. Being the mere observers of the law we would not be men of spirituality. Instead, being a basic human who can empathize with the suffering and needy brethren imbued with love of God is the greatest spirituality.

Being celibate is unnatural

The priesthood that is there in Catholic Church is unnatural; it is unnatural because it is against the basic nature’s law and human instincts. Human being is more of animal though he is bestowed with his intellect and reasoning power. As a human being everyone is bound to have all kinds of emotions and so as priests. If priests say that they are devoid of all human emotions they are not normal human beings then.

The basic instinct of a man is to fuck and for a woman

Our eyes have seen the best

Our eyes have seen the best that the cricket world can offer us. Indeed, we are very fortunate to live in the same era where Sachin Tendulkar the icon of Cricket is living, we have seen him playing live in the field, applauded for his sixes and classical knocks, and stood up in ovation whenever he made a century.  He is with us in flesh and blood and in future we will be very happy to cherish those memories of this great icon of cricket the world has ever seen.

Is it Achuthanandan or politicians or media more culpable??????

V. S. Achuthanandan, the opposition leader, addressing Sindu Joy ‘abhisarika’ has given a spark for yet another big political turmoil and war of words between ruling UDF and opposition party LDF in Kerala. Here I am not supportive of anyone nor examine Achuthanandan’s statement and make a judgment about it. But all  I have to tell you is that If Achuthanandan called Sindu Joy ‘abhisarika’ (courtesan) once, politicians, media and all of us took over it and repeating it over thousand times.

Confession is more of counseling

Catholic Church used to be the supreme authority and the church had its influence in all walks of life weather it be science, medicine or politics. There was an excess influence of the church and no one could really get rid of it. Formerly, we did not have any formalized counseling centers to cater to the psychological needs of the people. Only in the later period we had different schools specialized coming up in different arena catering to the specific needs of common man; like clinical psychology and counseling.

The worker deserves his wage

The Bible says “a worker deserves his wagesLuke 10:7, and when it comes to giving the wage to the worker what he deserves the preachers of the same gospel tend to forget the gospel passage itself and pay the worker really less. By the preachers of the same gospel, here I mention the priests and higher authorities in the church.

The priests have only the habit of receiving the money and when it comes to giving the money which is not at all the end result of their toil and sweat why do they tend to pay very less and I am coming to the self-finance colleges run by priests where they really pay less to the lectures when it is compared with the huge amount of donation and fees that they charge from the students.

Will we be spared if we speak up the truth?

The irony with speaking truth is that the same people who teach us to speak the truth never expect us to speak any truth about them. The alarming rate of murder cases is because people involved in the crime do not want the truth to come in light. Even if people witness a particular murder case or theft they don’t go to police station to report it nor become an eye-witness in the court to stand up for truth.

Priesthood becoming a profession now

Gone are the days of selfless and relentless service and now everything has become money-making and profit-making entities. As a result everyone has stealthy omitted the word service from his or her life-dictionary.

Now everything is a business and there is no service at all. Even the priesthood which formally was an absolute service is turned to be a mere profession. Many become priest because it is an easy going life when compared with hardships and difficulties involved in any other profession and way of life. There is no much hard work involved in this profession and actually they live at the expense of others. They are the people who always wish to have respect, attention, publicity, to be greeted, taken care of.
