Aren't we all "Technologically Challeged"?

We keep seeing many people in and around us who are either physically, mentally or intellectually challenged. Seeing them we are moved with sympathy and some empathy, and we all feel that God has created us fit in all respect. Majority of these disabilities are by birth and a few of them are due to accidents or side effects of medical treatment.

The definition of a challenged person is someone having a physical or mental problem that makes it difficult to do daily things as easily as other people do. If this is the definition of challenged, we all are Technologically Challenged, since without the aid of technology we are unable to do anything in our life.

Unlike physically, mentally and intellectually challenged, technologically challenged is the situation we ourselves have created because of our addiction and excess use of technology. We too much depend on technology for anything and everything, even for tasks, which we could perform manually or physically otherwise.

Ability for mental arithmetical calculation is lost because of the use of calculator, ability to learn spelling is lost because mobile and computer provide auto correction option, skill to drive a geared four wheeler is lost as there is automatic gear system, confidence to have face to face talk is lost, as all communication is through social networking sites, beauty of language is lost as all digital communication is in abbreviated forms, physical health is lost as even a short distance walk is replaced by motor vehicle drive, knowledge of direction, places and route is lost, because there is Google Map, etc.

The challenged people some how succeed in their life by sharpening their other senses in order to balance their physical, mental and intellectual states. Whereas, we make ourselves technologically challenged, because of the excess of the same and make our life is worser than the life of physically challenged.

We need to draw a line for our excess use of technology, for there will be instances in which all these technology would fail, when we would be completely lost and unable to perform or rather executive our job manually. We need to balance the use of technology because we should not push ourselves into a situation where without technological aid we can't perform.

Instead of technologically challenged, let us all be technologically skilled to help physically, mentally and intellectually challenged who are in and around us and help them find a meaning for their life.
