Chase after lust causing the brutal killing of innocent infants

What makes human beings different from animals is their intellect and rationale to discern what is good and evil. Marital relationship, which joins two persons from two different backgrounds, is a sphere where this rationale is challenged by strong emotions which would sometimes run rampant.

What kind of generation our current education system is creating?

My generation is from an old school of education system where there wasn't any all-pass system. Punishment from teachers was in force in schools, which could make us all mentally and emotionally strong to face and handle any tragedy and calamities in our current situation.

What is the current generation up to? No doubt that they are all far ahead in Intellectual IQ than my generation of school going students, but what about the Emotional Quotient EQ and Moral Quotient MQ in them.

What is so honorable about honour killings?

An honor killing or shame killing is the murder of a member of a family, due to the perpetrators' belief that the victim has brought shame or dishonor upon the family, or has violated the principles of the community or religion to which the family belongs.

Honor killing has been something unheard of for us Keralaites. When we got to read or hear about honour killing , we always thought that it would be something occurring only in North India, where the literacy rate is low and the social situation is under developed compared to that of ours. Until the news of Kevin's murder at Kottayam came out in the open.

Waterfront Villas become Water in Villas

Among the various types of housing styles in the real estate sector, villas are one of the major styles opted by people in the urban areas, especially where there is a demand for independent houses. When villa culture has been getting widespread in Kerala and villas mushrooming like anything, builders had to woo all the potential buyers with vigor and advertised the same. The ad that appeared everywhere was Waterfront villas, and the same were sold like hot cakes for unimaginable prices.

These waterfront villas promised scenic views, luxury amenities and high appreciation in value. It was also promoted as a great investment choice for the urban buyer. Thus, having a waterfront villa became a lifestyle choice and status symbol for the urban class.

Malayalis who generally got exempted from nature's fury through the years have got flabbergasted by the ferocity of the flood this year. During the worst flood that Kerala has witnessed in the century, the waterfront villas on the banks of major rivers became water in villas, rather villas submerged in the water.

Now a Malayali would think twice for sure before buying a waterfront villa, as the experts have voiced their concern about the possibility of flood becoming a recurring phenomenon in Kerala due to the drastic changes in the climate and landscape. Malayali would not be blindly influenced by the ad - waterfront villas like before.

The professionals working in creative and copy divisions of ad agencies have to rethink the entire campaign - waterfront villa and come up with a new angle to woo the public. The best way for running an ad campaign for all those waterfront villas now would be Summer Special Waterfront villas, exclusive for summer.

MPs and MLAs are commodities up for sale in India?

Politics has never been a service to the majority of politicians. It is and has been an easy career to amass wealth, power and position, without any stipulations on educational qualifications. Politicians are always opportunistic, ever on the look out for advancing their political existence, no matter which political party and ideologies they work with. They all want to prosper and enjoy the power and glamour that ministerial posts could offer them. For them, their political career is the most important thing.

"i have a new roommate of the opposite sex"

When the same day to day life is defined in different time and space by various generations, both old and new, the way it is defined and explained takes a new outlook altogether. The culture, value & social system, financial condition, modernity, technological advancement, lifestyle and trends in which the term is defined automatically takes all those elements along with it.

When I asked a PG classmate of mine casually in a friendly telephonic conversation about her married life and how her life has transformed after marriage, her instant reply was  - "i have a new roommate of the opposite sex.' There stopped our discussion about married life.

The Balancing Act that Every Man should know for a Happy and Successful Marriage

Married women always grumble that there is not much of remarkable changes occurring in the life of a married man in comparison to his bachelorhood. Whereas there are lots of changes such as social, cultural, professional, physiological and psychological happening in the case of a married woman compared to her spinsterhood.

But married women often do not understand the subliminal mental strain of balancing act that a married man has to play between his loving mother and romantic wife. If it is not at perfect equilibrium, there could be 'sparks' from both the sides, especially when he lives with his wife along with his parents in the same home. Some powerful 'spark' on either side, could be catastrophic even to bring about a break-off either to his biological relation or to married life.

Marriage - a campaign to be continued to woo the other half always

I have heard of friends and peer group sarcastically sharing the joke of them annulling the marathon calls, chatting, chit chats, outings, shopping, and romantic moments, that they used to have before with their life partner, once the wedding is formally officiated. They say the campaign is won (wedding is over) and no more wooing is required.

During election campaigns the political parties come up with lofty promises to woo the electorate, but after winning the election, that is the end of it. But marriage is not like a political campaign, which could be annulled after winning it. There is an everyday wooing required for the successful culmination of each day of the married life lived.

If woman's bodily discharge - Menstruation is impurity so is man's Wet Dream

God in His Supreme Creation fashioned everything so we can't say something is bad and other is good. Scripture says, so God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. Then, how come one gender's bodily discharge alone is considered impure.

What is the criterion for this test of purity?  Both genders: woman and man are

If your wife is her Father's Beti.......

It is generally believed that there is a special chemistry between father-daughter duo like the mother-son bond. The man who is her everything from childhood is her father and her childhood had been revolving around him. In return, a father has special affinity towards his daughter, as she has to be so delicately handled and taken care of than a son.

Some fathers influence, inspire, pamper, take care and love their daughter so much so, that no other man in her life could catch up to that even by half its extent. She is so 'badly' loved by the father that no one else in this world, in the present and future, could love and care for her as much as he does. Thus, he sets a a standard so high that no one else would surpass.

It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck.....

In connection with the controversial land deal involving the Ernakulam-Angamaly archdiocese, in which the Church allegedly suffered a huge financial loss, a group of hostile priests accused the Syro-Malabar Church head Cardinal George Alencherry, who is also the Archbishop of the Ernakulam-Angamaly Archdiocese, for selling the prime land of the archdiocese for below the standard market price. A handful of priests were trying to defame the Syro-Malabar Church which has over 55 lakhs followers and 35 dioceses.

A paradigm shift in leveraging technology for spiritual experience

The Internet of things, which is all about connecting physical objects to the world of web, is creating ripples of change in society, at large. In recent times, IoT has had the power to make a perceptible difference to our lives, at both- personal and professional levels.  Of late, IoT is setting up a new trend and even helping our spiritual practices to have an ardent God experience.
